WHAM Plan:
Wellbeing by young people,
for young people
WHAM is a discussion and activity-based course designed by Staffordshire young people in Co-production with SCVYS and NHS Midlands Partnership Foundation Trust. It’s at its best when young people are supported to deliver it to their peers.
What is the Wham Plan?
The Wellbeing and Health Action Map (WHAM) Plan is a series of fun, practical sessions about emotional wellbeing — created by young people, for young people (ages 11–18).
Whether you want to understand more about your emotional health & wellbeing, learn new ways to cope, or help your friends feel supported — WHAM gives you tools you can actually use in real life.
The WHAM Plan is:
Designed by young people’s ideas and real-life experiences
All about peer support — helping each other through tough times
Easy to deliver with step-by-step trainer guides
Focused on what works for you — no lectures, just real talk
You’ll learn:
What emotional wellbeing means
How food and sleep affect your mood
What kinds of activities help you feel calm or energised
How to build healthy relationships
What to do when you’re struggling
How to support someone else
Ways to stay grounded using nature and mindfulness
And how to plan ahead for hard days
Build your WHAM Plan throughout the course, it’s unique to you!
Whether you’re leading the sessions with your peers or are taking part, at the end you’ll have your own toolkit full of wellbeing tips and tricks to keep you on course for positive wellbeing.
