Local charity; YMCA Burton are opening a new shop in Tamworth town centre and it will receive a grand opening by the Mayor of Tamworth, Cllr Moira Greatorex this week.

The store, which is on George Street will offer a range of new and used furniture items, white goods and homeware with the aim of helping people turn their house into a home for less whilst also ensuring unwanted items are being recycled into use and not going to landfill. Last year, the charity moved over 5,000 pieces of furniture!

Operations Manager at YMCA Burton Andy Horsnail said: “We have enjoyed stocking the new shop with lots of amazing products and look forward to the grand opening this week. We pride ourselves on being able to offer quality used products at bargain prices, especially during the cost-of-living crisis at the moment, it is needed now more than ever.”

Pop along to their grand opening to meet their friendly staff and volunteers and grab yourself a bargain. They are open Monday – Saturdays 9am-4pm.
